7 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher J.A. Happ was looking for a longer start after only throwing 4 2/3 innings on Opening Day, and he achieved that against the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday…barely. This time around, Happ pitched 5 1/3 innings, allowing four earned runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out nine in a 14-5 victory. It’s only been two games, but Happ certainly looks as though he’s carrying over the uptick in strikeouts we saw from him in 2017. Happ has a more difficult start upcoming when the Blue Jays head to Baltimore to take on the Orioles on Monday. He won’t be a recommended fantasy play in that outing unless you’re desperate for strikeouts.--John Smith
