7 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Jimmy Nelson (shoulder) is continuing to progress in his throwing program, which consists of long tossing. The hope for Nelson is that he can do some mound work hopefully by the end of April. This was expected with Nelson, as he is currently not projected to return until sometime around the All-Star break. It will be interesting to see how he performs after this surgery, as last season he broke out for a 12-6 record, a 3.05 ERA and 199 strikeouts in 175 and 1/3 innings pitched. The potential that Nelson showed last season makes it very reasonable to hang onto him as a stash in leagues with disabled list spots.--Caden Inaba
