Jhoulys Chacin Pounded By Errors In Loss
7 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Jhoulys Chacin went 5 2/3 innings, giving up six runs (three earned), seven hits, two walks, and earning five strikeouts in the 6-0 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals. Chacin didn't really get much help from his team, as not only did they not score a single run, but Christian Yelich and Jonathan Villar both committed errors in the sixth inning, allowing two unearned runs to score. Not to mention, Villar also committed a pickoff error that eventually allowed Dexter Fowler to score on a groundout from Tommy Pham. Chacin did not necessarily have his greatest stuff as he allowed a home run to Yadier Molina and gave up seven hits, however, this was definitely better than his last start in San Diego. Chacin should only be streamed in favorable matchups right now.
