Kyle Gibson Doesn't Make It Past The Fifth Inning
7 years agoMinnesota Twins right-hander Kyle Gibson battled through his start against the Seattle Mariners on a cold day at Target Field. The veteran allowed just one earned run over 4 1/3 innings of work, allowing seven hits and striking out three. Gibson allowed two runs to score in the first inning, one of which was unearned, but was able to settle down and hold the Mariners off the board for the remainder of his time on the mound. Gibson is off to a solid start this season, posting a 0.87 ERA and nine strikeouts in 10 1/3 innings. He will look to keep it going in his next start, which comes against the Houston Astros.
