7 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher Alex Cobb threw a successful simulated game Wednesday, but the team hasn't made a decision on when he'll make his season debut, even though manager Buck Showalter initially made it seem like Cobb would pitch next Monday or Tuesday. Cobb could throw a bullpen session either Friday or Saturday. The Orioles want to see how Cobb looks in his bullpen session before making a final decision, but Showalter said the right-hander looked like his old self during his four-inning simulated game. If Cobb makes his debut with the team early next week, it'd be against the Blue Jays. Toronto isn't as dangerous as they've been in years past, but fantasy owners might still want to be cautious and wait to see how Cobb looks.
