Josh Hader Gets Unlucky In Solid Mid-Relief Appearance
7 years agoMilwaukee Brewers relief pitcher Josh Hader went two innings, giving up one earned run, one walk, and struck out three in the 5-4 win over the Chicago Cubs. Hader not only had to come into this game in the fourth inning due to Brandon Woodruff's 95 thrown pitches but also, the only runner he put on base ended up scoring when Jeremy Jeffress gave up a triple to Javier Baez. Hader is one of only two lefties in the Brewers bullpen along with Dan Jennings, so most likely Hader will be used in a situation like Andrew Miller or Archie Bradley. This being that their mid relief value is much higher than their closing value to the team. Hader is a must own in hold leagues, and is a high upside strikeout pitcher for those who are punting saves.
