Ryon Healy Heads To The DL
7 years agoSeattle Mariners first baseman Ryon Healy has been placed on the 10-day disabled list with a sprained right ankle, per MLB.com. The series of strange injuries for the Mariners continues after Healy hurt himself during a post-game workout. Over the weekend, Healy broke through a 1-for-21 slump with a huge bases-loaded double that plated three runs. Now he must deal with his second injury of the young season as the Mariners search for answers to their health issues. The injury should open up at-bats for Dan Vogelbach to play everyday while designated hitter Nelson Cruz is working his way back from his own ankle injury. The Mariners will call up pitcher Chasen Bradford from Triple-A to replace Healy on the roster. Healy will be first eligible to come off the disabled list beginning April 18.
