7 years agoBoston Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts (ankle) is scheduled to receive treatment and exams Monday to determine if a disabled list stint is necessary, according to Evan Drellich of NBC Sports Boston. It is a positive sign that a trip to the DL was not an immediate choice by the team. Bogaerts needed to be helped off the field Sunday by the trainer, as he was having trouble walking. We will have to wait to see what the outcome is, but it is always best to be prepared. Start making a plan for a shortstop fill-in in case it is necessary.
