7 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals relief pitcher Brett Cecil (shoulder, ankle) is still "a couple weeks away" in his return from the disabled list. Cecil was dealing with a dead arm in spring training, but an MRI showed no structural damage. He was diagnosed with inflammation in his pitching shoulder, but is also dealing with a minor ankle injury. He began throwing weighted balls recently, but it will still be a while until Cecil is ready for a minor league rehab assignment.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
