7 years agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Manuel Margot is batting eighth against the Colorado Rockies on Monday. Pushed from the leadoff spot over the weekend against the Houston Astros, Margot will likely continue slotting at the bottom of the order until he finds his groove. Margot is off to a rough start with a .135 average, .416 OPS and seven strikeouts with no walks. With the Padres scuffling out the gates, manager Andy Green is likely looking for more consistency atop the lineup. Second baseman Carlos Asuaje will lead off for the second straight game. Margot, a trendy mid-round pick, has made a poor early impression for fantasy drafters and this further hinders his value.
