7 years agoThe Toronto Blue Jays placed designated hitter Kendrys Morales on the 10-day disabled list with a right hamstring strain. He suffered the injury on Monday against the Baltimore Orioles. Morales has struggled a bit to start the year, slashing .227/.280/.364 with one home run, two runs scored and six RBI across 25 plate appearances. Hamstring injuries can be tricky, so one would figure there's a decent chance he won't be ready to return when first eligible. He’s not worth holding onto in 12-team leagues and there’s a decent shot he won’t be worth picking up the rest of the year. Yangervis Solarte is serving as Toronto’s designated hitter on Tuesday, hitting cleanup in Morales’ place.--John Smith
