7 years agoThe New York Mets are keeping a few left-handed hitters on the bench on Tuesday against Miami Marlins starting pitcher Caleb Smith. Both outfielder Jay Bruce and first baseman Adrian Gonzalez will have the night off, but interestingly enough Michael Conforto, who normally sits against lefties, remains in the lineup playing in right field for Bruce. Juan Lagares will take Conforto’s normal spot in center field, while Wilmer Flores starts at first base. Flores is always a fantastic DFS option against left-handers; he sports a career .831 OPS against them with 25 home runs across 430 plate appearances. Lagares, as always, is not worth any fantasy consideration.--John Smith
