Robinson Cano Looks To Start New Hitting Streak
7 years agoSeattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano heads into Tuesday's action hitting .407 even after having his seven-game hitting streak snapped to start the season Monday night. Cano has been an on-base machine with 11 hits and four walks in his first 31 plate appearances. The Mariners have dealt with several injuries to their lineup but a top of the order consisting of Dee Gordon, Jean Segura, Mitch Haniger and Cano are all off to promising starts. Cano's exit velocity is still above average, so he should begin to rack up more extra-base hits in the coming weeks.
