Jake Odorizzi Holds Astros To One Run
7 years agoMinnesota Twins right-hander Jake Odorizzi turned in an excellent performance against the Houston Astros on Tuesday. Odorizzi held the world champions to one run over six innings of work, striking out four and walking five to pick up his first win of the season. Odorizzi struggled with his control in this one but anytime a pitcher holds the loaded Houston lineup to one run, it is notable. He's off to a nice start with his new team, posting a 1-0 record, 2.20 ERA, and 13 strikeouts in 16 1/3 innings of work. He will look to keep it going against the Chicago White Sox in his next start.
