7 years agoSeattle Mariners catcher Mike Zunino (oblique) will take some swings in the batting cage this week, per MLB.com. Zunino is making progress from a strained oblique muscle and his rehab has been approached cautiously. Barring a setback, the Mariners would like to get Zunino some at-bats in the minors to get his timing back before he returns to the team. Zunino is getting close but still may be a week or so away from being re-inserted into the lineup. Zunino will add a flush of power to the bottom half of Seattle's lineup, and he hit .251 with 25 home runs last season.--Joey C - RotoBaller
