7 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Andrew Benintendi will be sitting Wednesday against Masahiro Tanaka of the Yankees, according to Evan Drellich of NBC Sports Boston. Manager Alex Cora stated he maps out his lineups about four days in advance, wanting to make sure others have a chance to get hot. It is an odd comment as Benintendi himself has yet to get hot. Although he was 2-for-3 on Tuesday, he is only hitting .206 on the season. The more likely justification is the matchup; Benny is a career .250 hitter against Tanaka.--Ellis Canady - RotoBaller
