7 years agoSeattle Mariners catcher Mike Zunino (oblique) has begun his rehab assignment with Class-A Modesto, per MLB.com. Zunino has been dealing with a strained oblique, a tricky injury for any hitter. The rehab time has gone longer than expected but any kind of tweak can puts an athlete back at step one. Barring a setback, Zunino should see anywhere between 15 to 20 at-bats before possibly returning to the team. Zunino last season bounced back from a horrendous start to hit .251 with 25 home runs.--Joey C - RotoBaller
