Erasmo Ramirez In Line To Start Sunday Against Rangers
7 years agoSeattle Mariners starter Erasmo Ramirez (lat) is in line to make his season debut Sunday against the Rangers, per MLB.com. Ramirez suffered a lat strain at the beginning of spring training and will serve as the Mariners fifth starter when he returns. Ramirez was acquired last season from the Rays and posted a 3.92 ERA with a 1.16 WHIP for Seattle. The 27-year-old will most likely be on a pitch count out of the gate and the team has been able to avoid needing a fifth starter thanks to off days. Ramirez is not expected to be a fantasy option in the near future but should provide some more stability to the back half of the Mariners rotation.
