7 years agoFantasy owners weren’t sure what they would get out of Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Aaron Sanchez in 2018, but overall, he’s been pretty solid. In a 4-3 loss to the New York Yankees on Thursday, Sanchez earned his third consecutive quality start by allowing three earned runs on seven hits and two walks across six innings pitched. He struck out two on the evening. The strikeout totals may not be great, but the expectation for Sanchez should never be an accumulation of punchouts. Sanchez is far from a no-brainer fantasy start for his next outing against the Boston Red Sox on Wednesday, but at this point he has probably earned the opportunity.--John Smith
