7 years agoToronto Blue Jays second baseman Devon Travis remains out of the lineup on Saturday with a sore left foot, but according to manager John Gibbons, Travis is improving. He may be feeling better, but it’s still uncertain as to whether or not he’ll be available off the bench on Saturday against the New York Yankees. Travis has struggled mightily to start the year and Friday’s promotion of heralded second baseman/shortstop Lourdes Gurriel is certain to keep the rumor fire stoked. That fire will only burn brighter if Gurriel hits like he did in his debut -- 2-for-5 with three RBI. Check back here for updates on Travis’ status.--John Smith
