Michael Conforto’s Batting Average Dropping Near .200
7 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Michael Conforto started off the season hot upon his return, homering in his first game and picking up base knocks in five of his first six outings. Since then, however, Conforto unfortunately hasn’t done much of anything. Since April 13, Conforto has earned only three hits in 34 plate appearances. Yeah, it’s been that bad. He owns a putrid .120/.324/.160 slash line over that time, scoring five runs and driving in two in the process with his first-game home run still being his only tally in that department. On the year, that slash line sits at only a slightly better .209/.386/.349. Conforto deserves a long leash after the significant shoulder surgery he had in August of 2017, but if you can afford it, you may want to move him to your bench until he gets going.
