7 years agoWashington Nationals outfielder Michael Taylor had the kind of game on Sunday that was reminiscent of his breakout in 2017. The center fielder, batting in the fifth spot in the lineup for the first time all season, went 3-for-3 with a double, a walk, an RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases. Though he's gone 6-for-19 in the last week, he's still only slugging .329 on the season and won't deliver much power. But he's got wheels and will mainly contribute in stolen bases (he's a perfect 8-for-8 on the season) and runs scored. If he continues to move up in the lineup, he'll deliver even more value for his owners. It's unfortunate that he profiles similarly with Trea Turner, Adam Eaton and Brian Goodwin, otherwise he'd get more opportunities. Look for him to continue his under-the-radar contributions as the weather heats up.--Mario Hernandez - RotoBaller
