Tyler Mahle Loses No-Hitter In Seventh, Strikes Out 11
7 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Tyler Mahle took a no-hitter into the seventh inning against the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday. The young right-hander was rolling along until the seventh, when the Braves finally got to him for three runs. In all, it was still an excellent outing for Mahle, who struck out 11 batters in his six innings of work. Mahle, despite pitching for a bad Reds team, has some fantasy upside based on his excellent strikeout numbers. The 23-year-old has posted a 1-3 record, 5.00 ERA, and 31 strikeouts in 27 innings of work in 2018. He's worth taking a flier on in fantasy leagues, provided you aren't counting on him for wins.
