Asdrubal Cabrera Out, Wilmer Flores In On Wednesday
7 years agoNew York Mets second baseman Asdrubal Cabrera, arguably the team’s best hitter thus far in 2018, is getting the night off against the St. Louis Cardinals and starting pitcher Michael Wacha. Cabrera is on a five-game hitting streak, though he only picked up one hit during Tuesday’s 6-5 win over the Red Birds – a step down from the tear he’s been on. Wilmer Flores, who has surprisingly played better against righties than lefties this year, will get the start in Cabrera’s place. Flores is slashing .286/.375/.619 (.994 OPS) against right-handers this year, sporting two home runs against them as well. Flores could be a fantastic source of cheap production in DFS formats on Wednesday.
