Justin Verlander Shuts Down Angels
7 years agoHouston Astros Justin Verlander tossed seven innings of two-run baseball, defeating the Angels 5-2 Wednesday. Verlander struck out nine through 97 pitches, walked none and allowed only four hits. Verlander improved to 4-0 and dropped his ERA to an impressive 1.36. The veteran right-hander has found the fountain of youth in Houston and now is 9-0 lifetime pitching in the regular season for the Astros. Verlander's fast start has him on track to possibly win 20 games this season and is a must-start every time he takes the ball.
