7 years agoSan Diego Padres third baseman Christian Villanueva (hamstring) is batting third in his return Friday against the New York Mets. Villanueva missed the mid-week series in Colorado but is ready to go. He's been the Padres best player slashing .355/.444/.774 with seven dingers, 16 RBI and currently riding a nine-game hitting streak. Villanueva has been a waiver gem for fantasy owners early in the season but faces a tough task tonight against starter Jacob deGrom.
