7 years agoWashington Nationals starter Stephen Strasburg was dominated by the Diamondbacks on Friday, giving up five earned runs on six hits over 6 1/3 innings. He struck out seven and walked two. The Nationals kept staking him to leads, but he consistently was unable to hold off the Arizona batters. It's a formidable lineup, however, and something just isn't clicking with the team as a whole. Strasburg still got 20 first-pitch strikes on the 27 batters he faced and got 16 swinging strikes. His velocity was fine, too. There's really no cause for concern; teams can square up on even the best pitchers. Strasburg will look to right the ship next against Pittsburgh at home on Wednesday.--Mario Hernandez - RotoBaller
