7 years agoOakland Athletics shortstop prospect Franklin Barreto continued his offensive momentum despite a 8-6 loss to New Orleans Baby Cakes. He finished the night 2-for-4 with a homer, a double, and two runs. Barreto has been making quick work of Triple-A in the 10 games since he was sent down. He has a .308 AVG to go with three doubles and three HRs. Barreto has proven he is ready for the promotion but there is no room for him on the major league roster.
