7 years agoIn the never-ending flow of news regarding New York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes (thumb) on Tuesday, we have a bit more: he is officially in the lineup on Tuesday. Cespedes left Sunday’s game against the San Diego Padres with a sore left thumb, but all tests (that we know of) haven’t revealed any real damage. As such, it turns out Cespedes won’t be missing any time as he’ll try to help the Mets in their showdown with the division-rival Atlanta Braves. Cespedes has caught fire as of late; he’s eight for his last 21 with two home runs and two doubles over his last six games. Get him back in your lineups.--John Smith
