7 years agoThe Toronto Blue Jays have recalled left-handed reliever Tim Mayza from Triple-A Buffalo on Thursday. Toronto has a doubleheader with the Cleveland Indians, so Mayza will serve as the 26th man for the twin bill. Mayza has pitched two scoreless appearances at the Major League level this year (1 2/3 innings), striking out two, walking one and allowing two hits. He’s thrown 3 1/3 innings at Triple-A Buffalo without allowing any runs while striking out eight. Mayza won’t have any fantasy relevance right now but could find his way into some down the line in holds leagues with his big strikeout potential.--John Smith
