7 years agoAtlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan agreed to a five-year contract extension on Thursday that will make him the first $30 million per-year quarterback in NFL history, according to league and team sources. He'll receive $100 million guaranteed. Ryan is pretty consistent with seven straight 4,000-yard seasons, and he broke out during the team's Super Bowl run in 2016 with a career-high 38 touchdowns and just seven interceptions. Ryan is very good but not great, although he could be better in his second year with Steve Sarkisian running the offense. The soon-to-be 33-year-old is a solid QB1 for fantasy owners.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
