BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 32% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Milwaukee Brewers shortstop Orlando Arcia is only hitting .228 this season, but has posted back-to-back multi-hit games and has two stolen base attempts in his last four games. He had a double and an RBI on Wednesday, after finishing 3-for-4 with a run scored on Tuesday, and may be turning his season around.
The only reason that we are discussing a player with just five extra-base hits in 96 plate appearances is the fact that he had 15 home runs and 14 stolen bases last season while hitting .277. Also, the Brewers have a good enough lineup that if Arcia were to heat up, he would be in a great spot for run production and be an instant impact player. What is odd about Arcia this season is that, while his numbers have dipped, his soft hit and hard hit ball rates are at career bests. A lot of issues come with the fact that he is hitting a career worst 60.3% ground balls, but, if he continues to make strong contact, his counting stats will show up.
A matchup against the Indians to open the week is not great, but then he is in the best environment possible, playing the Rockies in Denver. With matchups in Denver on the horizon, Arcia is a decent MI option for the week.
