7 years agoToronto Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson returned from the disabled list on Thursday, and what a return it was. In the first game of a doubleheader against the Cleveland Indians, Donaldson finished 3-for-7 with a home run, two doubles, three runs scored, and three RBI. Perhaps even more encouraging was that he played in the second game of the twin bill as well (this time as the designated hitter), and went 1-for-4 with another double, RBI, and run scored. Most importantly he looked great in the field, meaning the shoulder inflammation he was suffering from truly seems to be gone. Donaldson finally seems ready to blast off big time in 2018.--John Smith
