Brian Dozier Falls Triple Shy Of The Cycle
7 years agoMinnesota Twins second baseman Brian Dozier broke out of his slump in a big way on Friday against the Chicago White Sox. Dozier entered the game in the midst of a 3-for-37 slump but went 3-for-5 with a single, a triple, and a homer, falling just a double shy of hitting for the cycle. The star second baseman was moved from the leadoff spot to the No. 2 hole for the first time all season on Friday night, a move that apparently paid off. On the year, Dozier is hitting .242 with five homers, 17 runs, 11 RBI, and two steals. Stay patient with Dozier, as he's one of the top hitting second basemen in baseball.
