Ryon Healy Swinging A Hot Bat
7 years agoSeattle Mariners first baseman Ryon Healy has been a welcome source of power for Seattle's rejuvenated lineup since returning from the disabled list April 26. Since returning from a sprained ankle, Healy is 13-for-39 (.333) with two doubles, five home runs and 11 runs batted in. He has hits in eight of his last 10 starts and is slugging an impressive .525 at a position (first base) that was a black hole last season for Seattle. Healy is a grip-it-and-rip-it slugger that can drive in runs but lacks the on-base percentage (career .311) to truly have the kind of fantasy relevance to garner a long-term roster spot. But Healy is pounding the ball right now and could help some fantasy rosters in deeper leagues for the short term right now.
