7 years agoSeattle Mariners shortstop Jean Segura will look to jump start his sluggish month of May on Tuesday night as the team opens up a series in Toronto to play the Blue Jays. It has been a quiet past week for Segura production-wise, but he has thrived playing on the road this season. Through 73 at-bats away from Safeco Field, Segura is slashing .342/.380/.507 with seven doubles and 15 runs batted in. He is second on the team in RBI with 24 and is hitting a smoking .425 through 40 at-bats with runners in scoring position. Segura has benefited greatly from the offseason acquisition of leadoff man Dee Gordon and is in line for a strong series in Canada this week.--Joey C - RotoBaller
