Zack Wheeler Looks To Rebound In Cincinnati
7 years agoEvery time New York Mets starting pitcher Zack Wheeler looks like he’s taking one step forward, he seems to follow it up by taking two steps back. After a solid outing in San Diego on April 29, Wheeler followed that up with an absolute nightmare in Queens against the Colorado Rockies on Friday, allowing eight earned runs across six innings pitched with three walks and three strikeouts a piece. If he was going to turn things around again, Wednesday’s matinee in Cincinnati against the Reds would be a good place to do it. Cincinnati ranks 20th in runs scored while their team OPS of .697 is even worse at 25th. Despite the attractive matchup, Wheeler isn’t worth much fantasy consideration unless you need an absolute flier in daily leagues.
