7 years agoHouston Astros starting pitcher Gerrit Cole allowed only one run in six innings as the Astros beat the A's 4-1 on Wednesday. Cole (4-1) struck out nine hitters and allowed only four hits as his excellent start to the season continues. He lowered his ERA to 1.43 and has now struck out eight or more hitters in seven of his eight starts this season. Cole is pitching his way to an All-Star birth and his acquisition in the offseason is turning into one of the biggest steals around the league.--Joey C - RotoBaller
