6 years agoArizona Diamondbacks shortstop Nick Ahmed went 1-for-4 with a walk and an inside the park home run in Wednesday's loss to the Dodgers. The homer was Ahmed's sixth of the season. Thanks to a change in his approach at the plate, Ahmed is on pace to smash his previous offensive career highs. His average is still poor, at .228, but the Diamondbacks will appreciate any offense coming from one of their best defensive players. Ahmed will go through prolonged slumps at the plate, making him a risky option outside of very deep leagues.--Jonathan Chan - Rotoballer
