7 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Kevin Pillar has played in all 39 games this season, and he simply will not stop hitting. On Friday night against the Boston Red Sox, Pillar finished 2-for-5 with a double. It was Pillar’s second multi-hit outing in his last three games, and the third in his last five. He also has four extra-base hits over that span. Pillar is slashing a mighty impressive .318/.360/.541 (.901 OPS) with four home runs, two triples, 17 doubles, 24 runs scored, 17 RBI, and seven stolen bases on the year. That’s a lot to contemplate, but Pillar clearly has the ability to stuff all facets of the box score. Some degree of regression should be coming with Pillar’s BABIP currently sitting at .355, but even if that number hovers around .300 he should still be very productive.--John Smith
