7 years agoFor those of you who haven’t cut bait with New York Mets outfielder Michael Conforto yet, congratulations – you are starting to reap the benefits with many more to come. Conforto has had a big few days, capped with an exclamation point on Friday against the Philadelphia Phillies. He finished 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, and a walk. The homer was a ninth inning two-run shot that gave the Mets a lead they would not relinquish. Conforto now has five hits over his last four games, including two multi-hit outings, with two home runs and a double over that span. We knew all along it was going to take time for Conforto to get into a groove, and it would seem that time has finally come.--John Smith
