BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 22% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Washington Nationals infielder Wilmer Difo may be seeing his playing time dwindle as Daniel Murphy nears a return to the field, but Murphy is still not back just yet. In the mean time, Difo has posted a .364 OBP (which matches his 2016 mark in a similar time span) and has stolen two bases while hitting seven extra base hits.
Difo is only hitting .267 this season, but has walked 16 times and has scored 16 runs in 38 games this season. He is only 2-for-4 on stolen base attempts in 2018, but stole 10 bases last season and stole as many as 49 bases in the minor leagues. While his profile as a potential 20-stolen base threat is nice, as is his boosted walk rate, he does have a 29.3% soft hit ball rate and is hitting 53.8% ground balls.
The Nationals will play the Yankees and Dodgers this week, but Difo's versatility should keep him in the lineup. His value has never been higher as well, as Robinson Cano could miss up to two months with a broken hand, and Difo can fill in as a suitable replacement.
