7 years agoBoston Red Sox pitcher Hector Velazquez (back) has been placed on the 10-day disabled list. The team has activated starter Steven Wright to take his spot on the active roster. It's unclear how long Velazquez will be sidelined. He's been pitching well this season but was only worth owning in the deepest of leagues. This injury means he can be dropped in all formats. Wright is set to serve a 15-game suspension upon his return, and he'll be used out of the bullpen initially, which kills whatever little fantasy intrigue he had.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
