7 years agoAccording to MLB Network Insider Joel Sherman, the 80-game suspension for Seattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano will begin immediately despite Cano currently being on the disabled list with a fractured right pinkie. The official statement from the Office of the Commissioner also says that the suspension will be effective immediately. This news should bring a sigh of relief to owners who believed he would be out for essentially the entire season, but now it appears he will be able to return at some point. Continue to keep Cano stashed in a DL spot in all leagues, although he won't be back until the middle of August.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
