6 years agoHouston Astros outfielder Jake Marisnick was demoted to Triple-A Fresno. In 34 games this season, Marisnick was batting .141 with a .282 OPS and a .184 wOBA. Marisnick seemed to find no rhythm this year, as he has put up a 47.1 percent strikeout rate and a 1.1 percent walk rate. Managers had hoped for more from the 27-year-old after he slugged .496 last season and scored 50 runs in just 230 at-bats. The Astros will likely call up another outfielder to fill Marisnick’s roster spot.--David Emerick - RotoBaller
