7 years agoOn Tuesday, we predicted an uptick in strikeouts for New York Mets starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard against the Toronto Blue Jays. While that did happen, it wasn’t totally the outing we were envisioning for Thor, as he only lasted five innings in a 12-2 victory. He allowed two earned runs on five hits and two walks on the evening, striking out seven. The seven strikeouts were a nice sign after only punching out five and three in his last two games, respectively. Syndergaard continues to pitch well, but without the ascension to the next level many were hoping for in 2018. He will next take the hill on Monday against the Miami Marlins.--John Smith
