Amed Rosario Is Getting Hot
7 years agoNew York Mets shortstop Amed Rosario has not gotten off to a good start in his first full season as a Major Leaguer, but in recent days he is showing signs of life. In a 12-2 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday, Rosario finished 3-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and two RBI. It marks the fifth time in six games Rosario has picked up a hit and the seventh time out of his last nine games. He also has multi-hit efforts in three of those games. For the season, Rosario is still batting a paltry .261/.288/.345 (.633 OPS), but he was a top prospect less than a year ago for a reason. If his bat catches fire, there could absolutely be great fantasy value here. Don’t ever expect Rosario to walk much, though.
