Jonathan Villar Continues To Put The Ball In Play
7 years agoMilwaukee Brewers infielder Jonathan Villar went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in the 8-2 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Villar despite getting benched nearly everyday for the whole month of May, Villar has continued where he left off after a hot April with a .303 batting average, .846 OPS, one home run, three RBI and two stolen bases in the month of May. On the season, he's now batting .280 with a .689 OPS, two home runs, 11 RBI, six runs and seven stolen bases on the year. Those in need of a second baseman should surely give Villar a look as his ceiling is quite high. While he won't hit for power, he'll do a good job of boosting your batting average and stolen bases for the week.
