7 years agoMLB.com writer Bryan Hoch reports that the Yankees will have CC Sabathia start in their series opener at Kansas City on Friday, with Luis Severino and Sonny Gray starting in Games 2 and 3. Masahiro Tanaka will start on Monday for the series opener in Texas, and Domingo Germán will get the start Tuesday. Hoch also reports that Germán will also be available out of the bullpen during the series in Kansas City. This rotation schedule gives Tanaka a two-start week next week with very good matchups against the Rangers -- who have the fourth worst team average and OPS in the league -- and the Angels, who he limited to one run while striking out nine in a six-inning effort last month.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
