6 years agoThe New York Mets offense as a whole isn’t doing much, but don’t tell that to infielder Asdrubal Cabrera. Cabrera caught fire to start 2018 and while he slowed down a bit, the man is still producing nonetheless. In a close 2-0 victory over the Miami Marlins on Monday, Cabrera finished 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI, giving the Mets a lead they would not relinquish in the third inning. For the season, his slash line sits at a very impressive .325/.371/.552. The book on Cabrera has always been if he’s healthy, he’ll hit. The problem is, his health doesn’t cooperate often enough. For now, though, he’s not showing any signs of injury and you need to keep rolling with him.--John Smith
